About the Director

Sheila Hobson, Senior Director of Human Resources, is responsible for overseeing the operation of the Human Resources Office including recruitment, compensation and benefits administration, position classification, performance management, training, record keeping, and reporting.

Ms. Hobson has worked for more than 20 years in Higher Education including Montgomery College, The Community Colleges of Baltimore County and now at Bowie State.  She graduated Cum Laude from Temple University and received a Masters Degree in Public Administration from American University.  She received a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and has served for a term as Interim Vice President of International Public Management Association – HR for the Patuxent River Basin Chapter.
