Bowie State University Closed on Jan. 26 Due to Inclement Weather

Due to inclement weather, Bowie State University will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. All classes, office operations and on-campus activities are canceled. Residence halls will remain open. Tuition Assistance Funds Return Policy

Bowie State University has a policy that returns any unearned tuition assistance (TA) funds on a proportional basis through at least the 60 percent portion of the period for which the funds were provided to the military Service Branch.

16-week Course Withdraw Submitted

On or before week 1-2: 100% return
During weeks 3-4: 75% return
During weeks 5-8: 50% return
During week 9: 40% return

No financial adjustments after week 9

8-week Course Withdraw Submitted

On or before week 1-2: 100% return
During weeks 3-4: 50% return
During week 5: 40% return

No financial adjustments after week 5
