Gala Celebration
The best way – the only way – to truly celebrate Bowie State University’s incredible 160-year heritage of giving exceptional education, giving unsurpassed opportunity, and most of all, of giving hope, is for us to pass it forward through gifts of our own benefitting current and future BSU students.
Gala sponsorships present the opportunity to be a part of Bowie State’s bold history of building community and advancing all members of society.
Proceeds from gala sponsorships will go to the Bowie State student scholarship fund providing education, opportunity, and hope to future generations of deserving students.

Allison Seymour
Allison Seymour is an Emmy award-winning journalist and WUSA9 news anchor who has delivered trusted reporting in Washington, D.C., for more than two decades. She is a Hampton University Media Hall of Fame inductee best known for her storytelling, integrity and community engagement in journalism.
Marc Clarke
Marc Clarke, CEO of Marc Clarke Media Group, is a seasoned media executive and producer. He hosts "The Good News Show with Marc Clarke" on WMAR-2 Baltimore and co-hosts the popular podcast, "The Allison and Marc Podcast: Married in Media," with his wife, Allison Seymour.

About Bowie State University
Founded in 1865, Bowie State is the first and oldest Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in the state of Maryland, and one of the ten oldest in the country. It is also a very diverse university whose students, faculty, and staff represent many ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
Bowie State University provides high-quality and affordable educational opportunities for students with ambitions to achieve and succeed. In addition to its 29 undergraduate majors, Bowie State offers 20 master's degree programs, 16 specialty certificates, and three doctoral programs specifically focusing on science, technology, business, education, and related disciplines. A supportive academic environment empowers students to think critically, make discoveries, value differences, and emerge as leaders in a highly technical, rapidly changing global society.
