Jovan Adepo ('10) Stars in 'Fences,' Set for Christmas Day Release
Adepo Plays the Son of Veteran Actors Denzel Washington & Viola Davis

(BOWIE, Md.) – Bowie State University graduate Jovan Adepo ('10) plays the son of celebrity actors Denzel Washington and Viola Davis in his major film debut, "Fences," based on the play by the late Pulitzer Prize winner August Wilson. View the film's trailer.
Set to be released on December 25, 2016, the movie began to attract Oscar buzz even before it went into production earlier this year. Adepo is familiar to the fans of the HBO series, “The Leftovers,” for his work as Michael Murphy. He graduated from Bowie State with a Bachelor of Science in history and government.
