Homecoming Welcomes Community to Celebrate Bulldog Pride

Hundreds of Alumni & Friends Plan to Return to BSU Campus

(BOWIE, Md.) – It’s that time of year again when Bowie State University alumni and friends plan to reconnect with the campus community during Homecoming week, taking place from Oct. 6-13, 2019. Alumni looking to reconnect with old friends and form new memories have multiple events to choose from all week long.

The #20-ranked BSU Bulldogs football team faces Chowan University in the Homecoming 2019 game on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium. Homecoming day starts with the annual OTC Homecoming Parade that puts Bulldog pride on display on the streets of Bowie on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 9-11 a.m., ending at Bowie Town Center in front of Macy’s. The celebration continues on the Bowie State campus with the Greek BBQ Cook-off, starting at 11:30 a.m., where alumni and friends can enjoy music and food at the Greek plots before the big game. After the game, spend the rest of the evening with alumni friends at the ‘80s & ‘90s Post-Game After Party.

For student events, performers can compete at Tuesday’s Bowie’s Got Talent for a chance to open the OTC Homecoming Concert on Friday, which will feature hip-hop artists Stunna 4 Vegas, DaBaby, Kash Doll, and Quando Rondo. After the game, the fraternities and sororities will present their step performances at the Throwback Step Show, followed by music and dancing at the OTC After Party.
