Bulldog Pitch Competition Develops Student Innovators

Top Six Student Teams Compete for $7,500 in Cash & Prizes

(BOWIE, Md.) – In this time of global economic unrest due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is more important than ever to support Bowie State University student innovators as they design solutions to the challenges of today and tomorrow.

That’s why the Entrepreneurship Academy is committed to hosting its signature event, the Bulldog Pitch Competition, as a virtual platform for budding student entrepreneurs to hone their business ideas and earn seed money to start new companies. Taking place online Wednesday, April 29 from 3-5 p.m., the final round of the competition will feature the top six finalist teams competing in a shark tank environment to a panel of judges for the chance to win $7,500 in cash and prizes. “The competition exposes BSU students who are aspiring entrepreneurs to innovative and entrepreneurial thinking — great ideas become great businesses,” said Johnetta Hardy, executive director of the Entrepreneurship Academy.
