Bowie State Alumni and Friends Reunite Over Saturday Brunch

BSU Alumni Weekend Brings Together Graduates, Families and Community

(BOWIE, Md.) — Bowie State University alumni, along with their families and friends, came together this past weekend to celebrate their shared legacy at the BSU Alumni Saturday Brunch, a cherished highlight of Alumni Weekend. 

The festive event gave attendees the chance to reconnect with classmates, many of whom they hadn’t seen in years, and to catch up on life updates— from professional achievements to growing families—over a brunch menu that offered something for every taste. 

But it wasn’t just the food that energized the room — thanks to the musical talents of Brandon Felder, director of the BSU Concert Choir. 

The BSU Concert Choir, under Felder’s direction, delivered a dynamic performance featuring a range of musical genres, adding a vibrant and emotional layer to the celebration. 

One attendee remarked that the music was “the icing on the cake” and helped make the brunch feel truly alive. 

The event reflected Bowie State’s enduring sense of community, pride and connection among its alumni — underscoring the importance of lifelong engagement and support for the university’s mission.
