Highlights from the State of the University Address

Bowie State University kicked off the 2025–26 academic year with a message of optimism and bold ambition. At the annual State of the University Address on August 18, President Aminta H. Breaux unveiled the Boldly Forward FY26–29 Strategic Plan, celebrated campus milestones, and called on the entire community to embrace change and innovation as the university continues to grow. 

“We are experiencing a period of instability in our nation and higher education,” she said. “But the state of BSU is sound and the future is bright. We will adapt, grow and become a beacon of hope.”
