BSU is open. An initial plan to return to campus in the fall 2020 semester is now available.

Volunteer Expectations

This is a community service opportunity for students.This is a compassionate giving opportunity for employees.

  • Please honor your time frame. You should have been notified via email. You will have a 45 minute shift. The shifts are as follows:
    • 9:15a-10a
    • 10:15a-11a
    • 11:15a-12p
    • 12:15p-1p
  • Show up on time and sign in at the participation table.
  • You are expected to follow social distancing protocols and wearing masks throughout the event.
  • Be prepared to dress warmly and wear old or worn work clothes (but also be picture ready).
  • BSU will have its media sources there and the FTPF may have local media sources on site (per URM approval).
  • If you can, wear your BSU Bulldog gear!
  • Feel free to bring your own shovel and/or work gloves.
  • You will be in a group and will be responsible for ≈6 trees, each.
  • There will be an arborist on site as well as others from the foundation to help assist with the planting.
  • If it happens to rain, WE STILL NEED YOU. The event will not be rescheduled, therefore please dress for the rain and come with the mindset that this could be a fun and unique experience.
