When the Financial Aid Process Begins

The financial aid process begins when the FAFSA opens. Now is a good time to gather necessary documents, talk with family about finances, search for scholarships, and begin your FAFSA application. Packages Start Rolling Out; Application Closes

We begin awarding financial aid packages in the spring. During this time, you want to regularly check your To-Do List, because we may ask for supplementary materials or more information. This is also the time to review and accept your award and to ensure you apply by March 1 (for Maryland residents).

Continue Awarding Aid and Prepare for Fall Semester

Our team continues to go through applications and award financial aid packages. You may receive important updates via email, so regularly check your inbox for messages from us. The summer class aid application opens as well.

Disbursement, Appeals, and More

For current students, this is the time to make any Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeals or updates about your enrollment status and finalize your standing with the Student Accounts team. By the start of next semester in September, we disburse aid packages and keep you in the loop via email.
