Spring 2017 Commencement

On May 23, 2017, nearly 650 students graduated from Bowie State University during a ceremony held at the Xfinity Center in College Park. President Mickey L. Burnim was the keynote speaker. Timothy J. Adams, a former chair of the Bowie State University Foundation, received an honorary degree. Presidential Medals of Excellence were awarded to civil rights activist Ernest Green and First Lady Lavera Levels Burnim.
