Vaccination Information

Reporting Your Vaccination

All students, faculty and staff should upload your vaccination record to the Wellness Patient Portal

If you have misplaced you vaccine record, you can get a duplicate at the Maryland immunization information system website.

Vaccine Requirements

In preparation for the spring 2022 semester, all Bowie State University students, faculty and staff must be vaccinated for COVID-19 before returning to campus as required by the University System of Maryland. Members of the campus community must complete vaccination at least two weeks before your return to campus dates. Current students who have not been vaccinated will find registration holds on their student accounts preventing registration for winter or spring classes until vaccination is completed. Vaccination of all members of the campus community is the most effective way to protect against the spread of the virus at BSU.

  • The BSU Wellness Center offers COVID-19 vaccination (Moderna only) on campus Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. by appointment for students, faculty and staff.  Schedule an appointment at the Wellness Portal.

Marylanders can search for vaccine sites across the state at covidvax.maryland.gov or by calling the COVID-19 Vaccination Support Center at 1-855-MDGOVAX.

  • If you have an allergy to the COVID-19 vaccine or a specific medical condition that precludes taking the vaccine, or your religious beliefs conflict with the vaccination, you may request an exemption to the requirement. NOTE: there is 3-5 business day turnaround once an application is submitted.
