Biography
Since 2010, Dr. Rochelle R. Daniel has served as Instructor and academic program coordinator for public relations in the Department of Communications. She teaches courses in public relations, including the capstone Strategic Public Relations course which operates as a student firm (SPR Group), and the Internship Seminar course. She holds a bachelor’s degree in print journalism (Howard University), and a master’s and doctoral degree in management (University of Maryland Global Campus) as well as a certificate in advanced public relations (George Washington University).
Prior to becoming a full-time faculty member, she accumulated more than 20 years as a professional in the public relations and marketing field working in academia and nonprofit, congressional, and federal government agencies. She served in positions of responsibility for coordinating and managing public relations/marketing programs, strategic writing and media relations for Bowie State University, Prince George's Community College, Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, U.S. House of Representatives Government Operations Committee, and the U.S. Senate.
