BSU Receives $10K Scholarship from the City of Praise Family Ministries
|
|
|
The City of Praise Family Ministries (COPFM) presented Bowie State University with
a check for $10,000 on Sunday, August 15 to support the City of Praise Family Ministries
Persist to Graduate Scholarship established at BSU. The funds were raised during the
COPFM Women’s Experience 5K Walk. Scholarships of up to $2,500 will be awarded to
graduating seniors. On hand to receive the check were BSU students Derrick Hinton,
Dasia Phillips, Idalia Ramirez, Pastor Ylawnda Peebles (’96) and BSU President Dr.
Aminta H. Breaux (L to R). The check was presented by Pastor Peebles.

first woman and the second person of color to lead Maryland’s largest school system.
McKnight holds a Master of Science degree in educational leadership from Bowie State
University.
