Blackboard Learn Ultra is a new Learning Management System (LMS) experience by Anthology. It features simplified navigation, a mobile-friendly experience, intuitive workflows, and data-driven learning analytics, making it easier for you to keep your students engaged and on the path to success.

Blackboard Ultra: Key Updates and New Features

Breakout Groups Integration: Use existing Blackboard course groups to set up breakout rooms in advance. Note: Only Group Sets are supported, not individually created groups.

Playback Speed Adjustment: Control the speed of recorded videos with new playback speed options.

Gallery View: Instructors can now see up to 25 participants at once and manage them directly from Gallery View. Currently available to moderators only, and not on Safari or iOS devices.

Support Chatbot: Access immediate help for Collaborate Ultra through the new Support Chatbot, available on various Collaborate menus and error pages.

Session Timeout: Automatic disconnection for sessions lasting over 12 hours. You can re-join if needed.

Recording Details: View recording availability status (public or course-only) and a 30-day grace period for deleted recordings, allowing for restoration.

Enhanced Whiteboard Features: Enjoy improved tools for annotation, including a new pointer feature, and the ability to share and download whiteboard content.

Browser Support Alerts: Receive warnings when joining from unsupported browsers, with options to update or continue.

Session Insights: Moderators can now track participant engagement and view recording metrics.

Automatic Captions: Turn on speech-to-text captions for recorded sessions.

Poll Enhancements: Poll responses are saved even if disconnected, and updated poll questions and answers are reflected in reports.
