Giving Tuesday

When you give more, BSU can do more

BSU has joined the #GivingTuesdayNow movement, a new global day of Giving Tuesday NOWgiving and unity in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Unite with the BSU family on #GivingTuesdayNow and show that you care about the well-being and success of our students. Help us reach our goal of getting 100 more donors to make a gift to any of the student hardship funds:

  • Bowie Fund (area of greatest need)
  • Student Emergency Fund
  • BSU Food Pantry

Your generosity will allow the university to assist our most vulnerable students impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

“From the Prism and Writing Center to Academic Advising and Career Services, Bowie State has given its campus community a space where help is never far away. We are provided with additional tools in and outside of the classroom to aid in promoting our academic, physical and mental abilities. Because we are a small campus, our sense of community is greater. It shows in how we lean on and support each other in both academic and non-academic endeavors.”

“I remember feeling so lost when I first started my program, but the immense support of my professors, their hands-on teaching, vast experience and expertise made a huge difference in my academic and social life. Right now, I am on top of the world. Being here feels like home, in fact, it is home.

BSU donors have played a major part in my education and their giving has led to open doors for me academically and socially, enabling me to focus, and achieve all-round success.”
