Jan. 28-30 Virtual Operations, Campus Remains Closed

Bowie State University will continue with virtual operations for all classes and office operations through Friday, January 30, 2026. The campus will be closed to all non-essential personnel, and all campus activities are canceled. All buildings except residence halls and the dining hall will be closed. Essential personnel should report on time. This is due to the extended time required to clear the extensive snow and ice accumulation on campus. University crews are making every effort to resume campus operations, as a safe return to in-person learning and work remains our top priority. IX - 5.05 - Policy on Providing Services/Support by the Alumni Office

I. Policy and Purpose

The Alumni Office provides services and support where appropriate to alumni constituents and groups. Services and support are provided primarily to achieve the goals and mission of the Institution and the Alumni Office. The groups normally requesting services are both external and internal. The external groups are the Bowie State University National Alumni Association, alumni chapters and reunion classes. The internal groups are student organizations and clubs, academic and administrative departments.

Services and support include but are not limited to: developing and revitalizing chapters, conducting membership campaigns, providing alumni rosters and mailing labels, coordinating class reunions, creating opportunities for interaction among alumni, students and faculty.
