A Message from the President
Organizational Changes for Grants Accounting and Events & Conference Services
As the university continues efforts to improve operational efficiency in services to internal and external clients, I’d like to announce two organizational changes.
Effective on June 24, and July 22, the organizational reporting structure of the following units will transition into new divisions:
- Grants Accounting will transition from the Administration & Finance to the Academic Affairs division
Staff will report to Interim Assistant Vice President for Research & Sponsored Programs, Dr. Lawrence Potter, beginning June 24, 2024 - Events & Conference Services will transition from the Administration & Finance to Marketing & Communications division
Staff will report to Incoming Vice President for Marketing & Communications, Ms. Sabrina Ram, beginning July 22, 2024
These offices provide services that are critical to the long-term viability of the university. Shifting their organizational structure will enable improved alignment of related operations, improved customer service and enhancement of organizational accountability. A new Division of Research and Innovation is envisioned in the coming months. This will allow additional realignment of research-related functions.
The affected offices will retain their current phone numbers and office locations for now. Any future changes will be announced as they are implemented
