A Message from the President

Academic Affairs Transition
In an effort to provide greater support for the Division of Academic Affairs during this period of transition and to ensure that the university continues to move forward with our strategic goals and priorities, I will be securing the services of an outside academic leader through The Registry, a leading higher education interim placement service.
The Registry has identified several outstanding potential candidates to serve as Interim Provost, and three of them will visit the campus tomorrow, Thursday, November 21, 2019, to meet with members of the Division of Academic Affairs, my Cabinet and me. I will select one of these candidates immediately after the visit, with the goal of having him/her join my leadership team as Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs on or about Monday, December 2.
Dr. Guy-Alain Amoussou will resume his role as Associate Provost, working closely with the newly appointed Interim Provost. We will launch the search for a permanent Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs before the end of the semester.
