Due to inclement weather, Bowie State University will be closed January 26-27, 2026. All classes, office operations and on-campus activities are canceled. Residence halls will remain open. Leadership Transition in Academic Affairs

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Carl Goodman has adjusted his schedule to join Bowie State University today as provost and vice president for academic affairs. Dr. Judith Kirkpatrick, who has served as interim provost, will remain at BSU as a consultant until August 31, as we continue planning efforts for the fall 2020 reopening.

Please join me in thanking Drs. Goodman and Kirkpatrick for their willingness to make adjustments to ensure effective leadership, planning and coordination across the Division of Academic Affairs, as we continue to address the impact of COVID-19.
