Provost Carl Goodman to Depart BSU

I write to share that Dr. Carl B. Goodman, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, has accepted another position at Texas Southern University to serve as Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs effective July 1, 2023. Dr. Goodman will continue in his role here at Bowie State until the end of the fiscal year. Leadership of Academic Affairs upon Dr. Goodman’s departure is forthcoming and will be announced at a later date.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Goodman for his leadership of our academic enterprise and dedicated service to our students, faculty and the entire university. He has been the guiding force inspiring elevation of the university’s research activity, the creation of numerous academic programs, as well as enhancement of academic support services. His work will have a significant impact on the future of Bowie State for years to come.
