Bowie State University Extends July 4th Holiday

I am pleased to announce that Bowie State University will be closed on Thursday and Friday, July 4 and 5, in concurrence with Governor Larry Hogan’s decision to grant state employees an additional holiday on July 5. This will give our employees and students additional time to enjoy the holiday celebrations with family and friends.

Scheduled camps and other special programs may still go on as planned. Employees who are required to work to support these activities will be eligible for overtime pay or another day off as approved by supervisors based on your employment status.

The Student Center and BSU Dining Services will be closed July 4, but will reopen on July 5 with dining services available for lunch and dinner. Normal summer schedules will resume on Saturday.
