Bowie State University Closed on Jan. 26-27 Due to Inclement Weather

Due to inclement weather, Bowie State University will be closed January 26-27, 2026. All classes, office operations and on-campus activities are canceled. Residence halls will remain open. A Thanksgiving Message from President Aminta H. Breaux

I wish to extend my appreciation to the Bowie State University faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends for your loyal dedication to the mission of the university during this most challenging year.

And, in the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday, I am pleased to announce the 3:00 p.m. closing of the university on Wednesday, November 25.

I do hope that we will all take a moment during this Thanksgiving season to reflect upon the many reasons we have to be grateful. Best wishes for a safe, healthy and happy holiday.
