Additional Pay Raise on Top of FY19 Cost of Living Increase

I am pleased to share the good news that as the result of a robust state economy and higher-than-anticipated revenues in the 2018 fiscal year, state employees will receive additional pay increases in 2019.

The Maryland Department of Budget & Management announced another .5% pay raise and a $500 bonus to be issued on April 1, 2019. This is on top of the 2% cost of living increase, already set to begin on January 1.

The increases recognize all that you do to help Bowie State University make a positive impact in the state of Maryland and in the lives of our students. I value the hard work of each and every one of you as we continue our race to excellence.
