(BOWIE, Md.) – The first day of the spring classes brought Bowie State University students back to the campus, with the promise of a successful new semester.
The Student Government Association's Welcome Week events kicked off with a DJ in the Student Center, along with a call for professional dress. A sunny day with unusually warm temperatures added to the excitement and brought many students outside to enjoy the campus.
Students are expected to fill the stands this week in the Leonidas S. James Physical Education Complex as they cheer on the Bulldogs women’s and men’s basketball teams in two sets of doubleheader games. The Bulldogs face against the Virginia State University Trojans on Wednesday evening and square off against the Elizabeth City State University Vikings on Saturday afternoon.
Students will be displaying their Bulldog pride with events planned throughout the week.
