(BOWIE, Md.) – Despite the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 150 employers representing industry leaders in diverse career fields will meet and interview hundreds of Bowie State University students during the university’s first Virtual Career Expo on Oct. 28 from 1-4 p.m.

Students, primarily juniors and seniors, will take their first steps to launch their future careers by attending the event using their Handshake account to connect with the employers. Appointment time slots are filling up fast, so students are encouraged to sign up today.

All students have access to the Handshake platform, which makes it easy to schedule virtual meetings with employers during the event. The expo webpage provides a video tutorial about how to register for Handshake and schedule appointments.

Leading up to the career expo, the Career Development Center is hosting a series of events to help students prepare, including tips on how to successfully navigate a career fair. You can find a list of the prep events and a list of the participating employers on the event webpage.
