Law School Prep Program Offers Full Scholarships to BSU Students

Fannie Angelos Program Seeks Qualified Students from Maryland HBCUs

(BOWIE, Md.) – Bowie State University students and alumni interested in attending law school may be eligible for free tuition to the University of Baltimore School of Law through its Fannie Angelos Program for Academic Excellence. This highly selective program helps qualified students and alumni at Bowie State University and Maryland’s other three Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to prepare for law school. The Angelos Scholars Program is open only to juniors, seniors, graduate students and alumni at Bowie State, Coppin State, Morgan State, University of Maryland Eastern Shore and the University of Baltimore.

Students accepted into the program participate in a three-month boot camp where they learn effective study habits, time management and financial responsibility. Undergraduate scholars who successfully complete the program will earn three academic credits towards their graduation. The application deadline is Oct. 15. Apply online.

Angelos Scholars who complete the program successfully, have a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.5, attain a score of 153 or higher on the LSAT and otherwise qualify for admission to the law school receive a full tuition scholarship to the University of Baltimore School of Law.
