Bowie State Welcomes California Counselors to Expand Transfer Partnerships 

On June 17, more than 100 college counselors from California visited Bowie State to discover Bulldog Nation and learn about the powerful impact of an HBCU education. The visit strengthened transfer pathways for California community college students interested in pursuing a degree at Bowie State. 

During the visit, counselors explored Bowie State academic programs, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, and the transformational experiences that prepare students for careers, lifelong learning and civic engagement. 

The tour began with welcoming remarks from President Aminta H. Breaux at the campus bookstore. After a presentation about the university's history, mission and academic offerings, the group toured academic buildings, athletic facilities and the campus radio station, WBSU Bulldog Nation.
