Bulldog Pride Takes Center Stage During Move-In Week

The excitement was real as Bulldogs returned to campus Aug. 17-21 for Move-In Week, kicking off the 2026-27 academic year with energy, pride and new beginnings.

More than 100 student volunteers, including student-athletes, helped new and returning students move into residence halls, while Bowie State alumni volunteers offered guidance and support to students and families.

The week also featured New Student Orientation and a welcome pep rally for the Class of 2030, with performances by Symphony of Soul and the Dancing Divas, hosted by the Office of Student Engagement. Special guest host Kyle on the Mic, a Bowie State alumnus, kept the spirit high. Throughout the week, the Fall 2026 One-Stop Shop helped students and families complete essential back-to-school tasks, from finalizing class schedules to paying bills.

From move-in to orientation and family goodbyes, the week reflected the community, connection and Bulldog pride that define the Bowie State experience.
