Due to inclement weather, Bowie State University will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. All classes, office operations and on-campus activities are canceled. Residence halls will remain open. Midnight query

Oh, great owl—

who rests beyond

my window

your querying

a lullaby

filtering through my dreams

 

your careful eyes

watch

all night, through the pitch, the-

comings and goings

of all the Night’s children.

 

My feathered friend

as you soar through

the moonlit sky

 

Do you dream in the day,

just as I dream at night?
