Please join us as we recognize the formation and signing of the US Constitution on September 17, 1787.
Our guest speaker will be the Honorable Michele D. Hotten, Maryland Court of Appeals, Fourth Appellate Circuit (Prince George's County) Judge Hotten is the first female to sit on every level of the State judiciary, and the first African-American to represent Prince George’s County on that Court. In 2010, Judge Hotten was appointed to the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, becoming the first African-American female on any Maryland Appellate Court. In November 1995, she was appointed as the first African-American female to serve on the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County and previously was the second African American female to serve on the County’s District Court in 1994.
