Founders’ Day Celebration

On Wednesday, April 20, 2022 Bowie State University will celebrate our 157th Founders’ Day with the theme of "Legacy & Honor". Returning to an in-person ceremony, we will celebrate retirees from the past year and honor the academic excellence of Dean's List students from fall 2021.

Events of the Day

• Founders’ Day program - 10 a.m.
  Martin Luther King Communication Arts Center, Myers Auditorium
• Dedication of Crawford Building Torch - 11:45 a.m.
  Center for Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Nursing, Plaza
• Campus-wide reception on Student Center quad - 12:30 p.m.
• Retirees luncheon - 12:30 p.m.

Volunteers Needed

We will need ushers for this event to pass out programs, assist the disabled and help with transitioning between programs.
