Public Service Loan Forgiveness Workshop

Bowie State's Enrollment Management and Human Resources departments, in partnership with the Maryland Center for Collegiate Financial Wellness, will host a workshop to help faculty and staff complete the application for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). We encourage all eligible employees to take advantage of this great opportunity.

Who is eligible?

Individuals are eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness after they have worked full-time for qualifying employer(s) and made payments on their student loans for at least 120 months after October 1, 2007. Bowie State University is a qualifying employer for the purposes of PSLF.

 Come Prepared

       • Create an FSA ID and complete the PSLF application before you arrive. (Refer to the attached "Guide to Complete the PSLF Application" or watch the Applying for PSLF in Four Steps video for step-by-step instructions.)

       • Bring your documents with you to allow Human Resources to review and sign them. Computers and printers will be available on-site as well.
