LAIKA x BSU Special Animation Screening of Missing Link

Join the Visual Communication and Digital Media Arts program in the Dept. of Fine and Performing Arts at Bowie State University and Laika for a special screening and launch of a stop-motion animation studio at BSU in honor of Dr. Ayoka Chenzira. The screening will be followed by a talkback with the Laika team.

Events such as panel discussions will begin earlier in the day in the Main Stage starting at 10 AM. All students and guests must RSVP using Eventbrite and priority is given to BSU/VCDMA/DFPA students.

10am-11:30am: Panel and Q&A with Brad Schiff, Vinceaun Minto, Deb Cook, Amy Hurwitz, Mylun Jackson. Moderated by Professor Teo. Location: Main Stage. 

11:30-12:00 pm: Panel has structured Q&A with students

1 pm-2 pm: Brad Schiff presentation w/graphics, slides, reel. Location: Computer Lab/stop-motion studio. 

2 pm-3 pm: Deb presentation w/graphics, slides, reel. Costume shop. 

5:00 pm: Doors to Main Stage open �" LAIKA talent network with students in the Atrium. 

5:30 pm-6 pm: Announcement and unveiling of new studio name.  Location: Main Stage 

6 pm-7:35 pm: Screening of Missing Link. Location: Main Stage 

7:35-8:00 pm: Audience Q&A
