Second Annual Bowie State University Women of Color in STEM Forum
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Bowie State University Women of Color in STEM forum is proposed as part of the Women’s History Month celebrated in March. The Women’s’ History Month provides opportunity to honor the generations of pioneer and revolutionary women and girls who have shaped our progress as a Nation. Throughout history, despite hardship, exclusion, and discrimination, women have strived and sacrificed for equity and equality in communities across the country. Black women fought to end slavery, advocate for civil rights, and pass the Voting Rights Act.
Join us for BSU's Women of Color in STEM forum to celebrate women who have made an impact in STEM and inspire younger women in STEM to follow in their steps. This Forum will feature our very own president, Dr. Aminta H. Breaux, the 10th and the first woman president of Bowie State University who is dedicated to building on the legacy and rich history of Maryland’s oldest historically black university.
