AFROFUTURE: Exploring the past, present, and future

The DFPA at Bowie State University presents a juried visual arts exhibition from February 19 to March 29, 2024. This exhibition represents BSU students, faculty, alumni, staff, community artists, designers, and creatives. The theme is Afrofuturism, speculative fiction, and fantasy. Artists and performers were asked to express this theme and connect their creativity to the African diaspora and technology to the past, present, and future. Special performances will also be open to the DFPA and campus community exploring this theme. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community artists can participate and explore this through music, theatre, poetry, and dance.
