Faculty Info Session: Teaching Abroad on Semester at Sea
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
What is Semester at Sea?
It is a unique third-party study abroad provider. Over a 100-day voyage on a shipboard campus, students are offered a wide variety of coursework from 20-25 fields of study that are integrated with relevant Field Classes in up to a dozen countries, allowing for an experiential, comparative education that is truly global. Colorado State University is the academic partner for Semester at Sea, that appoints an Academic Dean to oversee all faculty and course syllabi that undergo a comprehensive review process, issues course credits and transcripts for the program, acquires and maintains library resources, and maintains overall academic standards for the program.
Semester at Sea is not only an opportunity for students, but for faculty as well! Attend this information session to learn about voyage faculty opportunities and what it means to teach aboard the floating campus as it travels to 10+ destinations around the world.
