Shirley Chisholm Movie, Dinner and Discussion

The Office of Multicultural Programs and Civic Engagement in partnership with the Zeta Delta chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host a Shirley Chisholm movie screening, discussion, and dinner. During this event participants will learn the historical impact of the first Black woman in congress.

Moreover, Chisholm became the first African American to run for a major party's nomination for President of the United States, making her also the first woman ever to run for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination. Refreshments will be provided and voter registration will be available.
