We are honored to recognize the following Black male trailblazers individuals:
- Dr. Anthony Brown, Professor of Curriculum & Instruction in Social Studies Education, College of Education, The University of Texas at Austin; Co-founder and Co-Director of the Center for Innovation in Race, Teaching, & Curriculum; and Co-founder of the Teaching Texas Slavery Project
- Dr. Sharif El-Mekki, Founder/Chief Executive Officer, Center for Black Educator Development and Former U.S. Department of Education Principal Ambassador Fellow under the Obama Administration
- Dr. Roy Jones, Provost's Distinguished Professor, Educational Leadership, and Executive Director, Call Me MiSTER Program at Clemson University
- Dr. Chance Lewis, Carol Grotnes Belk Distinguished Professor of Urban Education and Director of The Urban Education Collaborative, University of North Carolina at Charlotte (Honoree Special Video Presentation)
