Celebrating Black History Month: 3rd Annual Affirmations Ball

6:00 PM - 9:30 PM

The Office of Residence Life and the Office of Multicultural Programs and Civic Engagement invite you to the 3rd Annual Affirmations Ball, a night of elegance, empowerment, and celebration in honor of Black History Month. This event provides students and staff with the opportunity to express their authentic selves while recognizing the rich culture of African Americans, the diversity of our identities, and the legacy of HBCU excellence at Bowie State University.

During the Affirmations Ball, we will honor unsung heroesâ€"students and professional staff who go above and beyond to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment at BSU. This event highlights the importance of self-love, community, and affirming one another, recognizing that the best way to honor our ancestors is by uplifting the heroes around us every day.

A key moment of the night is the Affirmation Walk, where members of the BSU community will take the stage to showcase their style and confidence while being celebrated with cheers and applause. Whether bold or shy, everyone is encouraged to participate, knowing they are fully supported by their peers.

Guests will enjoy free giveaways and hors d’oeuvres as they engage in this transformative and inspiring evening. Join us for an unforgettable celebration of identity, unity, and self-expression.
