Common Ground Conversation Series: Spirituality and Social Justice
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
Join the Office of Multicultural Programs and Civic Engagement, Department of Behavioral Sciences & Human Services (Sociology) and our community partner Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church (Hyattsville, Maryland) have a shared conversation on the role of religion with addressing social justice today.
During our socialization process we learn religion is one of the most important agents that influence our understanding of the world we live in. This shared conversation will highlight how our intersecting social identities are shaped by our spiritual beliefs and backgrounds. This event will have a diverse panelist of interfaith leaders from multiple faiths who will give insight and help us learn.
