From furnished apartments to community-style rooms, returning Bowie State students have several housing options to consider as they continue their education and plan their next bold move on campus.

Entrepreneurship Living Learning Community (ELLC)

Building Type: Multi-use complex with living, learning and retail space
Gender: Co-ed
Amenities: One- and two-bedroom furnished suites with common living areas. Each floor has a laundry room and a kitchenette with a sink, microwave, two-burner cooktop and refrigerator. Other features include a game room, fitness room and conference room, multiple TV lounges and Wi-Fi, plus a grab-and-go eatery on site.
Availability: Accepting applications for the first residents for fall 2021
Freshman Eligibility:
All freshmen are eligible to live in the ELLC, regardless of whether they are accepted into the ELLC Fellows Program.

Open to All Students

The ELLC is a place where students can immerse themselves in an entrepreneurial ecosystem that prepares BSU students for new business development and creative problem solving in any workplace. Here, new ideas are encouraged and supported with a makerspace, student business hatchery and business resource groups in the building. Capstone On-Campus Management leases and operates this community for BSU students.

 Alex Haley Residential Complex

Building Type: Six-story suite style
Gender: Co-ed
Staffing: One full-time resident director and six resident assistants
Amenities: Hall amenities include a laundry facility, floor lounges and kitchenettes on each floor, and a lounge. The lounge, located off the lobby, is utilized for studying, programs, classes, and also has cable TV. Other amenities include a conference room, computer lab, and the C-Store, Bowie State University's own convenience store.

Christa McAuliffe Residential Community (CMRC)

Building Type: Multi-level apartments building
Gender: Co-ed
Amenities: Two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments that are fully furnished and conveniently equipped with full kitchens. Rental fees include electricity, water/sewer, cable, and Wi-Fi.

First-time freshmen are not eligible to live in CMRC, with the exception of students admitted to Bowie State’s Honors Program. Capstone On-Campus Management leases and operates this community for BSU students.
