Biography

Gregory Wright Jr. has 10 years of experience working with a multicultural and humanistic perspective in human services. Gregory is a two-time alumna of Bowie State University, a 2015 inductee of the Bowie State University Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated (Eta Zeta), and a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor approved to practice in the state of Maryland by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. Gregory currently works as an Adjunct Professor at Bowie State University. He also practices at an Outpatient Clinic in Baltimore and owns his own Clinical Psychotherapy Practice. Gregory is the creator of The Wright Mindset and It's Levels To This Ship therapeutic card game.

Gregory has trained under many psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and psychotherapists, school counselors and prison counselors, as well as clinical social workers. He also sat on the DC Ward 8 Health Board during the COVID-19 Pandemic to assist in policy and efforts for Ward 8 residents. Gregory utilizes his well-versed set of skills to assist clients in confronting concerns with anger, familial relationships and dynamics, grief, anxiety, derepression, and trauma from every stage of life. Gregory has experience working with individuals from multiple ethnic backgrounds with ages ranging from as early as 7 years old to late adulthood. Gregory specializes in treating trauma, behavior modification, and anxiety concerns in teens to middle adulthood.

Gregory has worked in many marginalized communities and continues to advocate and consult with private and public organizations to increase the direct care of mental health services. Gregory enjoys physical activities such as hiking, going to the gym, and traveling. Gregory spends much of his time with his family and friends.
