Joshua M. Steinfeld, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration in the Department of Management, Marketing, and Public Administration in the College of Business at Bowie State University. Prof. Steinfeld earned his Ph.D. in Public Administration (Florida Atlantic University School of Public Administration), Master of Science in Finance (Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School), Master of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership (University of Denver University College), and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration in Organizational Behavior (Boston University School of Management). His research is focused on professionalism in public procurement and administration with over 30 peer-reviewed publications and over 40 professional presentations dedicated to the acquisition field. Prof. Steinfeld has served as Adjunct Professor at University of Connecticut School of Public Policy, Assistant Professor and Director of the Graduate Certificates in Public Procurement & Contract Management, and Public Sector Leadership, at Old Dominion University School of Public Service, and Visiting Instructor at University of Central Florida College of Health and Public Affairs. Some other notable professional experiences took place at the World Bank Group as a Statistical and Legal Analyst and at the Town of Bar Harbor, Maine as the Human Resources Director and Business Manager. Prof. Steinfeld’s favorite part of the job is teaching courses and mentoring students toward achievement of their professional goals.
