Personal

Dr. West has worked in the field of School Psychology for over 30 years and is a passionate advocate for culturally responsive education.  Dr. West came to Bowie with 15 years of professional school based experience all aimed at helping educators accelerate the achievement of low performing students. Her extensive experiences in the public schools provided her with a broad range of innovative tools to help train and direct future school psychologist to become culturally responsive change agents in our public schools. Dr. West, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, is the proud mother of a 16-year-old daughter.
