Weldon Jackson
Weldon Jackson currently serves as Professor of Political Science in the History and Government Department at Bowie State University in Bowie, MD. Previously, he served as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Bowie State University (2013-2017). Prior to that he served as Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Morehouse College (2010-2012) and Executive Vice President and Provost at Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York (1996-2010), and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Morehouse College (1985-1996). He holds the B.A. in Political Science from Morehouse College, and the Ph.D degree in Government from Harvard University. His special teaching and research interests include American Constitutional Law, Urban Politics, Ethnic Politics and Political Modernization.
