Splunk HBCU Academic Scholarship
Splunk is awarding a $10,000 academic scholarship to 15 students each who are currently pursuing a technology-related degree from an accredited HBCU and graduating between December 2026 - August 2027. Scholarship recipients will also receive exclusive Splunk mentorship and an opportunity to interview for a Splunk internship or early career role!
Deadline: Applications are due February 7, 2025, and Scholarship recipients will be announced in late April 2025.

Ancestry’s HistoryMakers Scholarship
At Ancestry, we have a long-term commitment to enhancing education and empowering the next generation of history makers. This is why we’re proud to sponsor the 2024 HistoryMakers Scholarship Fund, designed to support current undergraduate and graduate students who will be enrolled full-time from the Fall 2024 semester through the Spring 2025 semester at universities participating in the HistoryMakers Tour.

Applicants to the Ancestry’s HistoryMakers Scholarship Program must:
- Be a high school senior/high school graduate (entering undergraduate study Fall 2024), current college undergraduate or graduate student
- Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate study at Bowie State University
- Have a minimum grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent
- 6 awards of $2,500 each will be granted

2024-2025 National Geographic Content Scholarship
The 2024-2025 National Geographic Content Scholarship is a competitive program aimed at giving students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities an opportunity to explore careers with the world’s premiere factual storytelling and media company. Available to juniors and seniors, recipients will receive a renewable monetary award of $5,000 and an opportunity to participate in a one-week immersion program with National Geographic.

Eligible students will be:
- A U.S Citizen
- Classified as College Junior or College Senior for the 2024- 2025 academic year
- Majoring in media/communications or are interested in creative storytelling
- Currently attending Bowie State University

Bowie Metropolitan Alumni Chapter (BMAC) Academic Scholarship
The BMAC scholarship will be awarded to a deserving high school graduate, GED recipient who has applied and been accepted at Bowie State University or a candidate who is currently a full-time student. The amount to be awarded is $500 and can only be used in the applicable semester. The scholarship may be used for tuition, housing books or university expenses.
