The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) advances faculty development at Bowie State University by providing programs, resources, and collaborative opportunities that support instructional excellence, professional growth, and student success.

Faculty Development is designed to support instructors at every stage of their professional journey. Through workshops, consultations, institutes, and other learning opportunities, CETL helps faculty explore evidence-based teaching practices, integrate instructional technologies, and engage in reflective approaches that advance instructional excellence.

Faculty Institute

The Faculty Institute is one of CETL’s signature professional development experiences at Bowie State University. Held prior to the Fall and Spring semesters, the Institute brings faculty, staff, and university leadership together for collaboration, skill building, and dialogue that advances teaching excellence, innovation, and student success.
