Every year, we come together to create memories and build the legacy of the nation's oldest historically Black athletic conference, the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). February — recognized nationally as Black History Month — is our time to celebrate and showcase our rich history, culture and HBCU championship basketball.
Bowie State is once again proud to serve as the host institution for this highly anticipated week of men and women’s basketball, a career expo, step show and more.

The official bracket of the 2026 CIAA Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament will be announced at 8 p.m. on February 21, 2026. Visit the CIAA website for more information and to purchase tickets.
CIAA Events
Shuttle Schedule
Bowie State University will provide transportation from campus to the CIAA Tournament from Wednesday, Feb. 25, through Saturday, Feb. 28. The same schedule will be in effect each day.
Each bus trip will include a brief stop at Bowie State University Way, which commemorates the site of the institution’s founding in 1865. The street sign is located in downtown Baltimore at the corner of Calvert and Saratoga streets, approximately a half mile from the CIAA Tournament.
Departure from Bowie State University
Bus pickup location: Student Center, Parking Lot O (see campus map). Buses begin boarding 15 minutes before departure.
