Beyond the Horizon

A cardboard cutout of a dream you had falls lightly slightly against your imagined perfectly-tiled floors. It’s comical how every wish can be just a wish and nothing more… Sometimes when you look for something hard enough, just staring at the broad distance, you realize nothing is shining brightly at the end of the tunnel. That’s the problem with every stars-in-their-eyes, hands-clasping-in-desperation hopeful nowadays! You think it’s the end of the world because a made-up thought in your head didn’t come true like the ending of a fairytale! Newsssss-flash! That’s the fun part… when you overcome your shortcomings, there’s so much more to desire! Think of the vast land of opportunity you pass in favor of a dying wasteland! Freedom, success, reservation, aspirations all at the foot of your door while you forcefully shoulder slam it shut! Dreaming is infinite, you’re only mortal. Make the best of your time on this damn planet and don’t look back! Look at the sky, the clouds, the grass, the rays of light passing through your hand because of a burning star in the distance… take it all!
